About this event

$5-$10 suggested donation for all non-members

In Sanskrit, the word “Chakra” means wheel or disk. In eastern culture, Chakras are energy vortexes within our physical body, located along our spine and vagus nerve. There are seven Chakras with the Root Chakra located at the base of our spine, moving all the way up to the top of the Crown Chakra. Each Chakra is associated with specific organs/glands, emotions, as well as colors, hand murdras and sounds.

This presentation is an overview to learn about what sound healing is, and how it can benefit our mind, body and soul. Presenter Maggie Tang will bring along her sound bowls and other healing musical instruments for a live demonstration, answering any questions you may have, and to briefly discuss how Charka imbalances impact our physical, mental and emotional health.

Maggie is a Certified Chakra Sound Healing Practitioner and Reiki Master. You can find her Sound Healing and Energy Healing Classes at Woven Yoga in Maple Leaf and Aditi Yoga & Wellness in Wallingford.
