About this event
When someone you care about experiences progressive cognitive or physical decline, knowing how to navigate Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid can become increasingly important. Although these three federal programs may work together, each has its own rules about who can act on someone’s behalf, when they can step in, and what authority they have.
This presentation will clarify how these programs intersect and offer practical steps to help families and caregivers plan ahead, preserve options, and make informed decisions. Whether you’re just beginning to plan or already navigating these challenges, you’ll leave with a better understanding of what to do next and how to avoid being forced into decisions before you’re ready.
Nick Woog is a licensed insurance agent and Registered Social Security Analyst. A native of Minnesota, he's called Washington home for the past 16 years, getting his MBA from Seattle University in 2010, growing a successful food business, and finally taking the plunge into the world of Medicare and Social Security almost 10 years ago.
